Pharmicell registers the patent of a ‘pharmaceuticals and human organs carrying container’...

Pharmicell registers the patent of a ‘pharmaceuticals and human organs carrying container’ for the first time in the world

- One and only product which can stably store and transport human organs and bio-pharmaceuticals which are sensitive to temperatures.

-The company expect to increase its sales given more orders have been asked even before the release.

Pharmicell (005690) (headed by Kim, Hyeon-Soo) announced on 7th that it completed the patent registration of a pharmaceuticals and human organs carrying container (the name of patent: Medical Cold Storage Container for organs) which had been proceeded with for the last two years and is now carrying out the process of registration of it as a medical device.

The pharmaceuticals and human organs carrying container developed by Pharmicell for the first time in the world is able to keep temperatures at an optimal level so that temperature-sensitive human organs, biomedicine and vaccines are not damaged while they are transported and safely and stably supplied to patients.

This machine is able ▲to supply external power through car cigar jack or internal power through built-in battery and ▲to keep the temperature at constant values (-2℃~55℃) through built-in cooling & heating system and ▲to check whether the temperature is constant and get output values thanks to built-in tachometer.

The head of the company, Kim, hyeon-Su who was once a doctor in hemato-oncology said, “Medical technology has been sharply advanced as the market of organ transplantation and pharmaceuticals have grown. However, when human organs and biomedicines which are easily affected by temperature changes are transported, Styrofoam cooling boxes are used” and emphasized the importance of the patent registration, saying “By getting rid of issues caused by storage and transportation, we can provide more advanced technology which will pave the way for the best medical services to doctors and patients”.

Plus, he expressed his expectation on his product release saying, “Pharmicell developed this device already and have used that device for supplying Hearticellgram from 2011 when it received the approval about it and transporting blood marrow, which means that its performance has been proved. No wonder, while it was going through patent issuance, bio-related government organizations, research centers and relevant corporations gave continuous inquiries to our company” and expressed his expectation saying, “Pharmicell’s cutting-eddge technology will definitely recognized when this device becomeS a necessity to organ transporting organizations, bio-related companies, CRO companies and big-sized hospitals”.

Pharmicell will plan to actively promote its products by participating in various fairs and exhibitions at home and abroad related to medical equipment and expect to see an increase in sales thanks to such development for the years to come.

In the meantime, Pharmicell is now preparing for choosing CRO companies and filling tasks in order to get approval from the U.S FDA for clinical trials on ‘Livercellgram’ which is a stem cell therapy for liver cirrhosis and expects to see feasible outcomes on clinical trial approvals by the first half of this year.
